Van Morrison then shuffle to Daft Punk, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, and onto Bonnie Tyler. GOOD MORNING/AFTERNOONING.

One would think that with it being almost 4am and with tomorrow’s lunch-with-a-friend looming, that sleep should be in order. Unfortunately not. I have fallen irrevocably in love with Edward Cullen Richard Ayoade from the IT crowd so will be watching an episode before attempting to lucid dream him into my life as my future husband. I always seem to have a thing for geeks.

Just incase you wondered, IKEA sell their own chocolate, it’s flat packed, and doesn’t taste at all like cardboard. They also do rather large glass jars, perfect for the currently popular ‘terrariums’, and 30 metre rolls of paper for kids to draw on architecture students like myself to draft on. And it’s all cheap and wonderful, and then there’s the meatballs...

I love when the music coming through my speakers is at just the right frequency and volume to make my drum kit hum along with it.

10 Laws of Productivity
I’m having a little trouble being productive/getting motivated with doing my architecture portfolio and then I found an article entitled ‘10 Laws of Productivity’. I’m posting it here in the hope that it might help someone and so I can refer to it. Click to read more.
You might think that creatives as diverse as Internet entrepreneur Jack Dorsey, industrial design firm...

I just found soy and wasabi almonds and I don’t know what’s real anymore, or if I’m even still alive. Is this heaven?

So I want my hair to grow back quickly and I was looking at advice on a forum and it said ‘Cut your hair (just a tiny bit) when the moon is not yet full. Never after this phase is over. So between new moon and full moon.’ Okay…

It’s times like this that I realise I should just break out my bro’s weights and get exercising. Seeya.

I said I would comment on The Artist after seeing it, and apparently it got all the awards, so… I enjoyed it. However I enjoyed it in the context of it being a silent film, and although I found parts clever and amusing, it was essentially, a love story.
In other news, things are ok but could be a lot better. I can’t really expand on the subject other than saying I think I need to...

I had an amazing dream that largely revolved around hiding from wolves on steroids in a village in a campus like situation. There were so many bits to it that it could have created the greatest movie of all time, but alas I remembered more before falling back to sleep each time and now it’s just a bit confused with other parts of interaction with friends, rooms with bouncy castle floors, and...

You didn’t know me when I was young enough to believe that you could bloom love like orchids on the kitchen table.
My father loved my mother the way Degas loved his ballerinas. He wanted to carve her out of marble, but forgot that statues don’t have heartbeats.
— only cold palms, and silk folds of stone.
How do you learn to love when you were never taught to as a...

Can I just say… never has a sentence been more relevant to my life. ALWAYS INTENSE CONVERSATIONS AT 3AM OVER CHEESY CHIPS. (Or as you Americans say, ‘fries’).

tumblr is beginning to bore me again so I may go into my slump of not posting and you may unfollow and meanwhile life might pick up and move forward. Only it always moves forward, so this is somewhat irrelevant. Anyway, we shall see. Bigger and better things on the horizon.
edit: I posted this at 8.35am, that’s important shit. I actually got up on time.

Wait for it to load, it’s a big picture. At first I thought this was a prank as before it loads it’s just black. I’m so untrusting. It’s worth it, it’s pretty. I promise.

It’s so awkward that facebook says what articles you’ve been reading, and I only read them because my facebook feed shows that other people have read them so it peaks my interest. A recent one I read is entitled ‘five myths about white people’, I didn’t even read it, I just skimmed the five points, but now I look like I’m all interested in the racial divide that...

On Love And Cities by Tashny Sukumaran
What is it like knowing that a town doesn’t belong to you?
Me, I’ve never belonged to a town or city or country. I’m like that poem about the art of losing.
Even now, when I look at this town, I see you. The train station where you’d pick me up, the rundown little shack where we had soup, the frightfully expensive restaurant where you made me try all the stupid types of seafood you like,...

Fran's Pasta
*modified ever-so-slightly from one of Jamie’s 30 minute meals. Sssh. It’s amazing and so simple.
Ingredients
2 egg yolks
125g parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
zest and juice of 2 lemons
a small bunch of fresh basil
fettuccini (other pasta will do but I find this one is best, or spaghetti/tagliatelle if you prefer)
prosciutto, torn into strips (or not if you’re...

Home and Away has taught me that my love could leave me or die and therefore I have decided I must sort out the rest of my life so as not to be left alone, obese, and jobless. Admittedly, this is for dramatic effect, but the point still stands. Dreams to reality.
